I bought the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain refurbished without having done much research prior. No Regrets! A solidly built, great performing juicer. Easy enough to clean. Only thing I wish it had was a “damper” or “stop” button to bring the motor to a stop quicker. I think a model up from this model has that feature. That said, it slows very quickly on its own. I have not had to deal with Breville’s customer service, so can’t speak for their support, but not needing it speaks for them too! A great juicer and a fair price.

We’ve had this a couple of months now and haven’t had any problems with it. Clean up is fairly easy. We use leftover produce bags to line the waste/pulp container to make clean up even easier. Sometimes a small seed will get into the screen but using the included cleaning brush gets stuff right out. Overall, we’re extremely happy with it.

My first juicer. I also have a Vitamix and Blend Tec blender. Both make more smoothies than juices. This is a great juicer but not a substitute for a great blender. Anyway about the juicer… I use it primarily for veggies, not fruits, I like to eat my fruits whole. When juicing fruits it does seem to leave a lot of wet pulp behind, veggies, the pulp seems to be drier. Yes it’s not great on leaves like spinach, but as the manual says it works better if you mix these with hard things and or try to ball or roll them up.

Read the manual carefully. It’s really important to clean out the strainer between uses, due to the fine screen. I soak it for about 10 minutes then clean it with the brush. When juicing they recommend going low for the softer stuff then high for the harder stuff. I’ve been toying with alternating the juicer stuff followed by the dryer stuff, thinking it may clean out the screen better during usage.

The juice I get out of this is incredible. Clean up very easy. About 5 minutes except for letting the strainer soak. Clean it before drinking the juice so it doesn’t dry out and stick. usually just rinsing works pretty good. I keep the motor base on about a 3/16 inch small plastic cutting board, and it makes sliding the pulp catcher easier to put in and take out, as it gives it more room (the cutting board is not under the container). I can also then slide the whole contraption around easier on my counter. I can see where eventually I’ll need another screen, and there are a few websites that are cheaper than Breville’s for parts.
